Job Description

Summary

The Intern/Aide Provides entry-level administrative and/or laboratory support within the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics. Assists with routine tasks and provides support for ongoing research initiatives while gaining exposure to laboratory and academic operations. Observes and participates in activities related to genetics research and career development interests. Contributes to special projects and departmental programs as assigned. Basic knowledge of genetic concepts and familiarity with model systems such as Drosophila (fruit fly) is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of genetic concepts and familiarity with model systems such as Drosophila (fruit fly).
