We are seeking a motivated Clinical Research Associate I for the Department of Population Sciences, focusing on cancer health equity research Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, this role supports federally and foundation funded projects addressing disparities in cancer prevention, screening, and care delivery, often in collaboration with community partners such as Federally Qualified Health Centers. Responsibilities include study coordination, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, program and community partner development, and manuscript preparation. This role offers opportunities to engage in diverse studies, receive mentorship, and coauthor publications.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the COH study team and external partners.
  • Maintains current and accurate protocol documentation
  • Maintains and completes regulatory documents for IRB, DSMB, and PRMC/CPRMC
  • Compiles and submits data on appropriate forms according to protocol requirements.
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to manuscript preparation, funding applications, and securing research approvals.
  • Develop pilot projects, data collection forms, and protocols.
  • Work on special data management projects as assigned.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and workshops to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Ensures work environment is organized and functions efficiently.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Associates degree.
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • One year of experience working in a health care setting, preferably in research.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in public health, social science, or related fields (MPH or MS in health services research, health policy, epidemiology, or health behavior).
  • Experience in public health or population science research, including health services/systems research, implementation science, community partnered research, and quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Strong scientific writing skills.
  • Proficiency in STATA, SAS, or R; qualitative analysis software (ATLAS.ti or similar); and reference management software (Endnote or Reference Manager).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • 3 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate, Project Coordinator, or Data Manager.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and/or spoken) is a plus.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.00 - $40.34 / hour
