Job Description:

The Quality & Safety Sr. Specialist will be responsible for support to the hospital and clinic quality and patient safety programs including chart audits specific to City of Hope's participation in various mandated and voluntary programs. They will compile and analyze data, monitor safety event communications and make recommendations for improvement activities, ensuring appropriate follow-up to mitigate future risk. Oversees the incident reporting system (RL-6) and coordinates the bi-annual AHRQ Survey on Patient Safety Culture process, with oversight of resulting improvement activities. They will also assist in dissemination of performance data to promote and support efforts intended to improve the quality of care based on the sharing of the various audit results.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing - required
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in healthcare, clinical and/or quality
  • Graduate degree desired but not required
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • EPIC experience preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.85 - $54.12 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
