About the Operations Management Area at Scheller College of Business

The Operations Management (OM) Area consists of a collegial and diverse group of faculty members dedicated to high-impact research and educating the next generation of researchers and managers. Areas in which we conduct research include supply chain management, innovation and technology management, sustainable operations, and service operations, including entertainment and healthcare operations. Beyond publishing and holding key editorial positions in leading operations management journals, our faculty is committed to translating research into practice through interactions with companies, startups, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies. The OM Area also has a strong PhD program in Operations Management. Job Summary
The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor level) in the Operations Management area, starting in Fall 2027. We are interested in candidates who can strengthen and expand the capabilities of the group in terms of its scholarship in high-impact research areas. Candidates are also expected to successfully teach at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels and to contribute to student success.

Responsibilities
The primary duties will be to conduct research, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, contribute to student success, and provide service to the College, the Institute, and the profession.

Required Qualifications
The minimum requirement is a Ph.D. in Operations Management or a related area (candidates must complete their Ph.D. no later than their start date).
