Job Description

Summary

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience. This is 10hours/week.

Job Duties

  • Designs well-formulated hypothesis.
  • Learns key research protocols.
  • Learns how to recruit participants to co-create print ads/videos on health promotion
  • Learns how to analyze graph and present health communication data
  • Works with print ad and video companies to produce marketing materials and public service announcements (PSA).
  • Works on getting in practical experience in health communications research, recruiting participants, administering surveys, assisting with focus groups, and analyzing, writing, and presenting health communication research.
  • Works with print ad and video companies to produce marketing materials and public service announcements (PSA).
  • Learns key research protocols.
  • Learns how to recruit participants to co-create print ads/videos on health promotion, and complete surveys.
  • Learns how to analyze graph and present health communication data.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree
  • Current enrollment in a graduate program for health communications or digital medial/film
  • Limited (< 1 year) experience with health communications research
  • Has strong organizational skills.
  • Be able to work independently and proactively.
  • Be able to meet project deadlines.
  • Be proactive in following up on action items.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Has fluency in English.
