Job Description

A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Glenn S. Gerhard, M.D. at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. The successful candidate will develop entrepreneurial projects within the scope of the lab’s focus on applications of genomics to aging and age-related diseases and the development of diagnostics for infectious diseases. The position involves carrying out bench research involving genomic, molecular, and cellular biology techniques, analysis of human samples, developing novel cellular and animal models, bioinformatics analysis, and pursuit of funding. The successful candidate will be expected to participate/lead in entrepreneurial activities, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, and participate in the mentoring and training of lab members as needed supporting the collaborative and innovative environment of the lab.
